Job Summary
Lift Mart, a leading provider of elevator and escalator solutions in the UAE, is seeking an experienced and dynamic Service Manager to lead our service department. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise in elevator and escalator systems, including controllers, maintenance, repairs, and modernization. This role focuses on overseeing day-to-day operations of the service department, managing teams, scheduling, and ensuring high standards of service delivery. The Service Manager will drive efficiency, customer satisfaction, and compliance while handling administrative and contractual responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
– Oversee the day-to-day operations of the service department, including resource allocation, workflow management, and performance optimization to meet service targets.
– Manage and lead the service team, including planning schedules, assigning tasks, and ensuring timely completion of maintenance, repairs, and modernization projects.
– Provide technical guidance and troubleshooting support, leveraging expertise in elevator and escalator controllers to resolve complex issues and minimize equipment downtime.
– Conduct Maintenance Evaluation Reports (MER) on equipment and evaluate the quality of Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM) to identify improvements and maintain safety standards.
– Prepare quotations for services, including Annual Maintenance Contracts (AMC), and actively follow up on AMC renewals to retain and expand client relationships.
– Assist in billing processes, ensuring accurate invoicing, timely payments, and financial reporting.
– Utilize Odoo ERP software proficiently to manage equipment IDs, track renewal dates, update service records, and streamline departmental operations.
– Foster a culture of strong character and professionalism within the team, promoting ethical practices, resilience, and accountability.
– Collaborate with other departments, such as sales and engineering, to support project execution and address customer concerns effectively.
– Ensure all departmental activities comply with UAE regulatory requirements, industry standards, and company policies.
Qualifications and Requirements
– Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field; advanced certifications in elevator/escalator technology or management are preferred.
– Minimum of 7 years of experience in the UAE elevator and escalator industry, with a proven track record in technical roles involving controllers, maintenance, repairs, and modernization.
– Strong technical and troubleshooting knowledge, with the ability to lead on complex mechanical and electrical systems.
– Demonstrated leadership experience in managing service teams, day-to-day operations, and scheduling in a service-oriented environment.
– Strong character traits, including integrity, decision-making under pressure, and a commitment to team development.
– Proficiency in preparing quotations, managing AMCs, renewals, and assisting with billing.
– Advanced skills in Odoo or similar ERP systems for operational and administrative tasks.
– Valid UAE Driving License is mandatory.
– Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills, with fluency in English; Arabic is a plus.
– Ability to work flexible hours, including oversight of on-call emergencies.
Preferred Skills
– In-depth knowledge of UAE-specific safety regulations and standards for vertical transportation systems.
– Experience with emerging technologies in elevators, such as IoT integration or sustainable upgrades.
– Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a focus on customer-centric service delivery.
